Shyamdas (1953-2013) spent his life absorbed in the literature, poetry, and philosophy of the devotional lineages of northern India. After 40 years traveling sacred India and studying with saints and teachers, he developed fluency in Sanskrit, Hindi, Gujarati, and Brajbhasha, enabling him to adeptly translate the sacred texts offered here. Shyamdas deeply impacted and shaped the world community of yogis and bhaktas through his kirtan and satsang programs, with his unique and bhava-filled style of devotional singing and discussions on Bhakti Yoga.
